(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton Police Department is investigating a “false report of (a) student with gun on (the) Riverton HS campus,” according to a post shared on the RPD Facebook page on November 1.
The post states that RPD “responded to Riverton High School around 10:00 AM this morning after receiving a report that a student was seen with a handgun.”
No firearm was found after investigators responded to the school and spoke with students
“The School Resource Officers are continuing to investigate the source of the rumor,” the post concludes.
