All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Riverton, WY) – Three Lander juveniles were cited after an off-duty police officer and other individuals were reportedly shot with a “pellet” gun (later determined to be a toy “Orbeez” gun) outside of a store on North Federal Blvd. in Riverton Sunday afternoon, December 21, according to the most recent Riverton Police Department call log.
The call was made at 1:30 PM, when the reporting party informed dispatch that juveniles had shot his wife and other customers with what he referred to as a “pellet” gun.
“Two individuals aged 53 and 54, one of whom happened to be an off-duty police officer, were walking in the store parking lot when a car with three individuals backed up to them and shot both of them with a pellet gun,” the call log narrative states. “The off-duty officer immediately identified himself and took them into custody.”
The three Lander juveniles, two aged 16 and one aged 15, were ultimately cited for Breach of Peace and released to their respective guardians.
