John Ferrelli was named the new CEO of SageWest Health Care in Riverton and Lander in April 2019. The 30-year health care veteran replaced Alan Daugherty, who retired April 22nd.
Ferrelli grew up in the Chicago area and went to school in Illinois. But, he joked on a County 10 Podcast, he’s been living in Florida and California the last several years, so the autumn snow will take “some readjusting.”
In the interview, John told us about some new plans at the facility including the addition of a “Cath Lab” in the near future, the ability to get cardiac pacemaker implants at SageWest, and the recruitment of an endovascular surgeon as well as some physician recruitment this winter.
Additionally, Ferrelli is aiming for more transparency from the top of SageWest to the citizens,
Anything that we can use in order to hear what people are thinking, what concerns, or observations they have, I think is a great idea.”
