(Fremont County, WY) – The Fremont County Communication Center has received multiple reports from residents who say they were contacted by someone claiming to represent the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office.
According to FCSO, the callers have claimed the person missed jury duty or referenced another legal matter. In some reports, the caller identified themselves as “Deputy Lane,” though officials say the names used in these scams often change.
These calls are scams.
If you receive a call like this, hang up and do not provide any personal or financial information.
