(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and have provided the following recap of the meeting.
1. A contract between the Fremont County Transportation Department and T-Y Excavation from July 2026 through June 2029 for road maintenance in Dubois was approved, not to exceed $150,000 annually.
2. The Magnesium Chloride Supply Agreement with Envirotech Services, LLC from August 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027 was approved not to exceed $121,275.00.
3. A contract with Alexander Excavation, Inc. for the Fremont County Youth Camp Wastewater System Rehabilitation project to be completed on or before October 30, 2026, was approved.
4. Amendment One to the contract with the Wyoming Department of Homeland Security was approved, authorizing the use of the remaining $808.00 of the $4,000.00 grant funding to purchase four backup power packs for the Election Department.
5. It was approved to rehire a full-time benefitted Deputy Court Clerk position in the Clerk of District Courts Office, with a salary of $40,000 to $52,000 annually based on experience.
6. A letter of support was approved for the Riverton Fire Protection District to apply for a Wyoming State Land and Investment Board Mineral Royalty Grant to purchase a Pierce Enforcer Engine to replace a Sutphen Pumper.
7. It was approved to rehire a part-time, non-benefitted custodial position for the Fremont County Fair at $18.00 per hour.
8. It was approved to sign a letter of intent to enter into an agreement with Cody Regional Health for the administration of emergency medical services (EMS) in Fremont County.
