It was a challenging Class 4-A West Regional Wrestling tournament for the girls from Fremont County, with seven county girls placing in the top four of a meet dominated by the Lady Braves of Star Valley.
Star Valley outscored second-place Pinedale to dominate the meet with 208 points.
Lander’s Elizabeth Gribowskas had the highest finish with a second place at 145 pounds. Tiger teammate Harlie Velarde was third at 170 pounds.
Riverton had two girls in third with Hailee Cooper at 100 pounds and Aleah Marquez at 235.
Peyton Arnhold of Shoshoni, Autumn Osborne of Riverton, and Lilly Hill of Wind River were all fourth at 105, 135, and 120 pounds, respectively.
The state championships open Thursday and go through Saturday at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.
