Sheridan authorities say a 6-year-old student was seriously injured by a school bus outside of an elementary school Monday afternoon.
The Sheridan Press reports that the student was running toward the bus to attempt the driver to stop from leaving Henry Coffeen Elementary School. The student became caught under the bus and was pulled beneath the vehicle.
The child was transported to a local hospital and then flown to a different hospital in Denver.
The student’s name has not been released, the Wyoming Highway Patrol is investigating.
