The game was tight in the first half with teams exchanging leads five times along with seven ties. The breakthrough for the Big Horn Rams came in the third period when a defender flopped a couple of feet away from Caden Kisling. The officials were screened by players and called the offensive foul, the fourth for Kisling.
With the score tied at 17, the Academy Award-level flop sent Kisling to the bench, and the Rams rolled in the period to a 29-23 lead.
By the final period, Caden Kisling and Oakley Hicks fouled out, and Carson Kisling finished with four fouls.
The Wranglers could not hit from beyond the arc. They were one of 22 on three-point shot conversions, with Jordan Gilbertson hitting the only trey in the game. Big Horn didn’t hit any 3-pointers; they scored inside or from the free-throw line.
Hicks led the Wranglers with 17 points.
