(Shoshoni, WY) – The Shoshoni Masonic Club Awards Dinner drew a good crowd to the Shoshoni Recreation Center Wednesday evening for their annual event.
The Shoshoni Masonic Club – Wind River 25 Lodge, has honored outstanding citizens, students, and student-athletes since 1983.
The Shoshoni Lodge has six members living in town and 28 overall. The Lodge originally met in the upper floor of the Yellowstone Drugstore, but sold it Ryan Tinnelli, who operates Tinnelli’s House of Wonder. The Lodge moved to the old VFW building.
Masonic officers from across the state gathered to join the local lodge in honoring Shoshoni Police Chief Chris Konija as First Responder of the Year and Ken Cundall as Shoshoni Citizen of the Year.
The dinner honored local students as well. With criteria established for Student Citizenship Award four Shoshoni seniors were honored with a plaque and a $250 award. Warren Fletcher, Sway Fike, Alex Brown and Braxton Mills were all honored with the award.
Shrine Bowl players from Fremont County were honored as well, with Riverton offensive and defensive lineman Ryan Cox in attendance.
The Shrine Bowl is a major fundraiser for the organization with all proceeds dedicated to the Shriner’s Children Hospital in Salt Lake City.
