(Shoshoni, WY) – The Fremont County School District 24 (Shoshoni) Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, in the boardroom at 404 Wrangler Way in Shoshoni.
The agenda includes student, staff and community recognitions followed by a presentation from Eric Andrews with summit West CPA group, who “will be here to finalize our audit,” according to a note from staff.
The superintendent’s report will include information about homeschool notification, student enrollment, the 2026 legislative forum next month in Cheyenne, recalibration, sports physicals, and upcoming events.
The board will also hear from the elementary principal, secondary principal, special education director and business manager.
Action items on the agenda include:
- approve out-of-state travel for sixth grade to South Dakota
- approve adding driver’s education as a course in the 2025-2026 course handbook
- approve the budget schedule for the 2026-2027 school year
The board will consider approving five personnel items Monday, including three resignations and two hires.
The board will also consider approving the following policies on first reading:
- GBA-R2 – Special Education Parent Reimbursement for Out-of-District Travel Expenses
- ID – School Day
- JBA – District Philosophy of Activities
- JB-R Discrimination – Student Complaint Procedure
- JB-R-Form – Discrimination – Student Complaint Procedure Form
- ACA – Sexual Discrimination/Harassment
Other policies on the agenda include:
- JB – Equal Education Opportunities
- ADC – Tobacco Free Schools
- GBAC-R – Equal Opportunity, Title VI, Title IX, Immigration Act and Section 504
