Finally, the weather folks in western Wyoming have been hoping for.
The National Weather Service office in Riverton says that heavy rainfall is expected in western Wyoming, which will likely help efforts in fighting the Roosevelt Fire, Marten Fire, and a few other minor wildfires burning throughout the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
Dubois is expected to see significant rainfall throughout Tuesday and early Wednesday. Currently, NWS is projected up to a quarter-inch of rain in Dubois and up to half an inch in Jackson.
Rain chances in the Jackson area will continue Wednesday and Thursday, turning into snow chances for the weekend.
Riverton and Lander have a shot at moisture, particularly overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. The threat of a thundershower exists for much of Fremont County.
