(Fremont County, WY) – Due to upcoming maintenance, the pedestrian Popo Agie Campground suspension bridge at Sinks Canyon State Park will be closed until Spring.
Maintenance to the bridge addresses a public safety concern recently detected by state park engineers.
Despite the closure, visitors have a variety of other options for hiking, snowshoeing and fat tire biking. All other trails and access will remain open such as the Sinks to Rise Trails, North Slope Trail, the Popo Agie Nature Trail (accessed via the Sinks Canyon Campground), and Brewer’s Trail.
Visitors can use Bruce’s parking lot to access the Fails Trail, Brewer’s Trail, Stock Bypass Trail and many more. Out of the Canyon visitors can enjoy the Bus Loop right in Lander, as well as the trails on the golf course when they are groomed and ready to go.
