Six Wyoming Students Awarded Scholarships Honoring Rebecca McDaniel, PTA, CCT.

Six Wyoming high school students have each received a $500 scholarship to support their future careers in healthcare.
The recipients are:

Katelyn Lemley – Riverton

These scholarships are part of the Rebecca McDaniel Memorial Fund, which was dually established by her family and Fremont Therapy Group (FTG) employees to honor the legacy of their beloved colleague, who passed away in a car accident in 2023. Rebecca was a compassionate clinician and mentor, and she actively volunteered her time to support students in her community.

Each year, the fund awards scholarships to students from communities with FTG clinics, as well as Pinedale—Rebecca’s hometown. A local panel reviews the applications in each county and selects recipients based on merit. In Pinedale, Rebecca’s parents, Wayne and Nancy McDaniel, personally interviewed candidates and selected Madyson Gutierrez as this year’s recipient.

Last year, FTG raised nearly $15,000 for the scholarship through a GoFundMe campaign and staff contributions. The group is committed to continuing the scholarship program for years to come in Rebecca’s memory.
