Riverton High School Speech & Debate continues their success this season, claiming another 3A first-place finish.
Last weekend, RHS competed at the Evanston “Speak of the Devil” Tournament and captured the top spot.
Top placers included Savanah Whiteherst breaking to semifinals in Humor, semifinals in Impromptu and taking first in Duo with Joseph Thornton who also took second in Poetry, third in Drama and fourth in Humor.
Perlene Keller placed sixth in Humor, Elizabeth Pierson got into semifinals in Poetry and placed fourth in Oratory, Jalon Tyndall placed sixth in Congressional Debate and third in Lincoln Douglas Debate.
Carolyn Thornton broke into semifinals in humor and placed second in Program Oral Interpretation.
Coaches Annette Thornton and Rebecca Pierson are very proud of their team and looking forward to the team’s performance.
This coming weekend will see the team competing at The Natrona County High School’s Mustang Classic Speech and Debate Tournament.
