A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Rendezvous Dental.
Shoshoni High School sent several students taking Spanish classes to World Languages Day hosted by the University of Wyoming earlier this month.
Nearly 300 students were able to attend the event from all across Wyoming. Competitions were held in six languages including Spanish, Chinese, ESL, French, German, and Russian.
Language workshops were also held on Arabic, Arapaho, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Japanese, Latin, Russian, and Spanish.
Individual winners from Shoshoni included Elijah and Lilly Schubach with a 1st place finish for their digital rendering, “La calavera de las rosas.”
Bridgette Fullmer took 2nd place with her poetry sculpture, “Conquistadores.” And, Jaycie Schneider finished 3rd with her poem “Para entonces” written by Manuel Najera.
