Ranunculus glaberrimus, or easier to say, Sagebrush Buttercup is beginning to emerge from the snow in northern Wyoming.
The stunning yellow flower can be found from British Columbia to New Mexico. It is primarily found in the Rocky Mountain region, but has also popped up from Kansas to California.
The Wyoming Bureau of Land Management had this photo snapped and posted by Charlotte Darling near Mosier Gulch, in the Buffalo-area.
