The first big snowfall of the season mixed with gusty conditions has forced the closure of South Pass early Tuesday.
Currently, the Wyoming Department of Transportation does not have an estimate on reopening. Weather conditions are expected to gradually improve throughout the day.
As of Tuesday morning, Togwotee Pass is listed as slick with snowfall. Most other Fremont County roads are slick in spots or wet.
