Special Eastern Shoshone General Council meeting scheduled for Jan. 10

(Fort Washakie, WY) – A special meeting of the Eastern Shoshone General Council will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Rocky Mountain Hall in Fort Washakie. 

The meeting is open to all enrolled members of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe who are 18 years of age and older.

A quorum of 75 members must be met by 10:30 a.m.

The agenda, which was shared on behalf of Eastern Shoshone Election Judges, including Chairwoman Helen Grace Ward and Secretary Antonio Hill-His Law, lists an agenda/petition presented by Louise J. Tillman.

   1. Alleged mismanagement of Shoshone Rose Casino and Hotel payroll
   2. Nepotism and conflict of interest
   3. Removal of all six current Shoshone Business Council members
2. Letter to Shakopee requesting information
   1. General Manager qualifications and requirements
   2. Financial outstanding debt owed and payment history
3. Rescind Resolution 2010-10241 giving the Shoshone Business Council complete authority over Tribal business
4. National Indian Gaming Commission request to investigate Shoshone Rose casino management and violations of the 2003 Gaming Code adopted by General Council, Gaming Regulations and Code of Federal Regulations
