We have received multiple reports of power outages, residents and businesses with low power, and even “exploding” transformers this morning.
These issues are primarily coming from Fort Washakie and some areas of north, rural-Lander, as well as Ethete.
High Plains Power in Fremont County issued the following statement about the issues.
This spring heavy snow is causing some issues on our system. As always, if you see a down power line, assume it is live and call us immediately. Our Linemen are out working through some outages in the Lander, Ethete and Fort Washakie area. If you see them working on the side of the road, please slow down.
