Students from St. Stephens Indian School have teamed up with the Wyoming Seatbelt Coalition and Wyoming Department of Transportation for an important and simple message, Buckle Up, Fremont County!
You may have noticed the billboard on Riverton’s Main Street recently. Now, a video is circulating around Fremont County, too.
“We appreciate being part of this partnership and being able to promote peer-to-peer messages delivered by our student-athletes to other young people,” said St. Stephens High School Football Coach Billy Brost of Riverton. “This partnership is about saving lives, and along with WYDOT, we are proud to be part of this effort. Seat belts save lives.”
Most statistics show that chances of survival increase by over 50% for those in a collision with their seat belts in the front seats of a vehicle, and by over 70% for those wearing their seatbelts in the backseats of a vehicle.
