(Wyoming) – It’s no secret to most folks in this state that our small population makes it difficult to see big shows in our own backyard. But, local fans of stand-up comedy are noticing a steadily increasing number of funny people doing sets in the Cowboy State.
The biggest reason for the 2025 increase in performances is thanks to Casper’s Rialto Theater renovation. The historic building has served as an entertainment center for the Casper community since 1921. After decades of hosting movies, live shows and operating as a soda fountain, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. In 2024, the building was renovated once more and is currently boasting a solid lineup of several stand-up acts. A few of the comedians appearing in Casper this summer are…

The Rialto’s impressive lineup joins several existing facilities that bring comedians in. Notably, the Cheyenne Civic Center. Through the years, the Civic Center has hosted stand-up legends like Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan and many others. In 2025, folks have already been entertained by Jo Koy. But, another heavyweight comic is on tap soon…

Black Tooth Brewing Company in Cheyenne is adding many up-and-coming stand-up comedians to their entertainment list this year. Zane Lamprey is next up this weekend, (April 27th.)
In Gillette, the “Mom’s Unhinged” comedy tour featuring Janae Burris, Merit Kahn and Stacy Pederson will be held at the Cam-Plex Events Center on May 7th.
Casper’s Ford Wyoming Center is no doubt the largest venue seating capacity-wise that regularly hosts some big named comedians. In recent months performers like Bert Kreischer and Nate Bargatze have played to large crowds there. As of now, there aren’t any upcoming stand-up performers scheduled at the Ford Wyoming Center, however maybe this post will nudge those good folks to book some more 🙂
