(Riverton, WY) – Riverton High School sent five golfers to the state tournament in Cheyenne last weekend.
Individually, the Riverton girls were led by Anika Stanley who finished with a two-day 170 to tie for 6th place. Tylynn McDonald wrapped up the fall season with a two-day 178 to place in a tie for 12th. Braedyn Mosbrucker also qualified for state, wrapping up the tournament in 45th.
The boys were led by Brody Taylor, who shot a two-day 153 and finished in a tie for 11th. John Hull shot a combined 159 and placed 22nd overall.
Laramie’s Carson Moniz won the boys title with a 139 and Evanston’s Madison Brown shot a 159 to win the ladies side individually.
The Evanston ladies claimed the team title, besting Campbell County by just four overall strokes. Kelly Walsh placed third. Riverton’s trio placed the Wolverines 7th overall.
The Campbell County boys out-shot Laramie by 10 strokes to win the team championship. Thunder Basin captured third. Riverton did not have enough competitors to qualify into the team standings.
