(Wyoming) – Families tend to gather indoors more this time of year, and a favorite pastime for many are board games.
The folks at Spilsbury recently tallied data based on Google Trends and retail purchases to rank the most popular board game this year in every state.
According to their list, Wyoming’s favorite is Mancala.
Mancala is a game that dates back to 7th century ancient Egypt. And in 2021, it’s unique to Wyoming in its popularity as we were the only state to have it top the list.
Across America, the most popular board game this year was Monopoly. It was followed by Hungry Hungry Hippos.
