(Lander, WY) – I am writing in support of Mara Gans, Buck Tilton and Daniel McLane for Fremont County School Board.
I do not have children of my own, but I am invested in the quality of the board members making decisions for our school system.
The state of our schools affects property values (see any realty listing for the schools that come with the purchase of that home), local taxes are part of the district’s funding, and the health of our schools – and those kids, teachers and families who are involved with them daily – reverberate out into our town.
I have been impressed by Gans, Tilton and McLane’s consistent message of wanting to listen to constituents, including community members like myself, before making decisions and not simply committing to plans and votes based on their beliefs or preferences.
I have already participated in early voting and have cast my ballot for Gans, Tilton and McLane.
