(Riverton, WY) – Hello, my name is Taylee Olson and I just recently graduated from Riverton High School.
Throughout my high school years Rebecca has been a close teacher, mentor, coach, and friend. Over the course of the past three years I have had many experiences with her that have led me to write this in full support of her today.
The most time I have spent with her has been in Speech and Debate, through writing cases we have had the opportunity to look at issues scaling from the Federal Government all the way down to more local personal problems.
When working through these issues we write cases on hypothetical situations to solve these problems, these cases took us all the way to finals at state and even qualified us to compete nationally. If these are the solutions she can help us imagineer nationally, imagine the wide range of solutions she would be able to create and implement locally.
More recently I was able to take a government class with her at the high school. The most impactful activity we were able to do in this class was our final test, writing bills and presenting them to one of our very own senators.
This was important to me and I know others in our class felt the same, we were able to come up with issues we saw in the state, write solutions for those problems and present them to someone that could make a difference, Rebbeca gave us this crucial platform to use our voices for good.
One thing I have learned over the three years I worked closely by her side is that she genuinely cares about people. If she sees a problem she will do everything in her power to fix it. I know that from seeing it personally and have experienced it firsthand on more than one occasion. I write this in full support of voting for her for this position and cannot recommend her enough.
