I saw a float in the Lander 4th of July parade entitled Lander Schools for the Future. Being inquisitive, I looked this group up on-line and found that this is a PAC to elect candidates to the Lander School Board. Right below that website was a website called “postcarding & conversation with Lander Schools for the Future”. This on-line event was hosted by “mobilize.us” which consists of the groups Downtown Nasty Women Social Group, Markers for Democracy, and Team.min with an address in New York, New York. The stated purposes of these groups are 1. To promote the election of Democrats up and down the ballot all over the country (including Kamala Harris) 2. Help shape government at the local and national level with those who are aligned with their progressive values 3. Affect the future in education, healthcare, voting rights, reproductive rights, gun laws and climate change policy.
So when you are ready to vote for the Lander School Board candidates, ask yourself if the aims of these groups are what you want for Lander Schools. Are abortion, gun control, voting without proof of citizenship and progressive indoctrination Lander values or New York corruption of our schools?
