(Fremont County, WY) – As we approach Election Day I ponder how many voters are yet undecided on how to vote in some races. HD 33 is one of the tighter and in my perspective important races for Fremont County and the State of Wyoming as a whole.
As a resident of HD 33 I would like to express what a solid representative Sarah Penn has been for our district and state.
When Sarah ran in 2022 she campaigned door to door and stopped at my house. Like many Americans and Wyomingites I was quite disgruntled with the state of the government at the time and she was not met with a warm welcome. I remember telling her something like if she wanted my vote a shiny mailer and some hollow promises wasn’t going to cut it.
I proceeded to grill her with questions about everything I could think of from COVID policy to property taxes and beyond. She spent nearly an hour of her valuable campaign time on my front porch answering my questions. At the end of that interaction she gave me her contact information and told me to hold her accountable and I did.
In the past two years I have contacted Sarah on numerous occasions about bills in the house, and issues that concern our family. I have found her to be responsive, honest and accountable to what she says she will do.
She has represented the Wyoming Republican platform planks exactly as she promised me that day on my front porch. She has stood firm on the values of the platform that are important to conservative voters like myself. She does not flip flop with the crowd or blow with the popular wind but stands solid. She is active in the community and has been happy to speak to me at casual events such as 4H or the farmers market.
I vote Republican because I truly believe in and try to live out the timeless truths such as right to life, liberty, small government, property rights, lower taxes and family values that the platform expresses to uphold.
Sarah had done the same and that is HONEST, SOLID representation for the citizens of HD 33 both on and off the reservation.
