For many parents, the preschool decision is a big one, especially whether to begin at age three. Some families choose just one year of preschool, but St. Margaret’s School also offers a Pre-K 3 and 4 program that gives children unique advantages both inside and outside the classroom.
The first year of preschool is shorter and gentler, helping young children ease into a new environment. Even at age three, students gain confidence and self-esteem as they practice independence and experience daily social-emotional learning. They learn to share, build friendships, and begin to thrive outside the home, while still enjoying plenty of play and fun through stories, songs, and hands-on, gamified learning. Children grow in language, communication, and academic readiness. By the time they enter Preschool 4 and 5 and beyond in Kindergarten, they are more confident, curious, and equipped to succeed.
