The last of Lander Art Center’s “Plein Air” series is this weekend with Lander Burton and Oil Painting. The two-day workshops are designed to help artists explore their skills both at the Lander Art Center and on location around Fremont County. Saturday’s workshop will be at Sinks Canyon.
Twelve-week classes with Lander Burton start up in September, so make sure to head to the Lander Art Center and check out what they have to offer this fall and winter.

📚 Lander Library Book Nook – The Book Nook is in the lower level of the Carnegie building (451 N Second St) and has a good selection of used books in all subject areas, DVDs, audio books, music CDs, and, often, games and puzzles available from Noon to 4 p.m.
💃🏽 Swingin’ Fridays with WyoJazz – Head to the Lander Senior Center (205 S. 10th St., Lander) to enjoy swing dancing and music from WyoJazz, starting at 7:00 p.m.
🤠 Dubois Friday Night Rodeo – Every Friday night in Dubois at the Clarence Allison Memorial Arena (5639 US-26, Dubois) starting at 7:30 p.m. Cost: $20
🎸 Live Music with Colt Wayne – The Rustic Pine Tavern (123 E. Ramshorn, Dubois) continues Summer Music Fest with alt-country artist Colt Wayne at 9:00 p.m.
Saturday:
🥾 Wild Edible Plant Hike – Start at Books Lake / Bonneville Trailhead (Dubois) at 9 a.m. for a moderate hike with Meredit Taylor. Cost: $15
🆓 FREE EVENT: Jam Time! at the Lander Art Center (258 Main St., Lander) starts at 10 a.m. All instruments, ages and skill sets welcome!
📙 Friends of the Riverton Branch Library Book Sale – Head to the Mezzanine of the Riverton Public Library (1330 W Park Ave., Riverton) for used books, dvds and LP records starting at 11 a.m.
🛼 Last Stand Skate Jam – Starts at Noon at Riverton Skatepark (901 E Fremont Ave., Riverton) for skating, food, music, prizes, and fun for all!
🏎️ End of Summer Bash Figure 8 Races – It’s a packed roster for the last race of the summer at 6:30 p.m. at the Fremont County Fairgrounds (1010 Fairgrounds Dr., Riverton.)
Sunday:
🎶 Live Improv Jazz – Dubois Chamber Music hosts the Ben Markley trio at the Headwaters Center (20 Stalnaker St, Dubois) at 3 p.m. Cost: $20
