(Riverton, Wyo.) – Central Wyoming College Lander Subdistrict #4 Trustee Dr. Colton Crane has submitted his resignation to the college board. It was accepted, with regret. His resignation is effective on January 31st.
Dr. Crane, who has served on the board for over a dozen years, was the board chair for three of those years and served on the National Association of Community College Trustees board a total of four years.
In a lengthy resignation letter, copied below, Dr. Crane spelled out the reasons for his resignation and the next steps he is taking in his career, which includes constructing a new dental clinic in Riverton and being on the Steering Committee for the proposed local Boys and Girls Club.
Expressions of gratitude to Dr. Crane were expressed by Dr. Brad Tyndall, president of the college, and the remaining college trustees and staff attending Wednesday night’s Trustee meeting, noting his long and distinguished service to the college.
The trustees also adopted a plan to choose a new trustee from the Lander-Jeffrey City Subdistrict. Letters of interest need to be sent to the college president’s office by February 8th. The applicants would then be interviewed and a new trustee chosen at the board’s next meeting on February 20th.
