(Fremont County, WY) – The regular season has concluded for all but one Fremont County football team.
Dubois will travel to Casper Saturday for a match-up with Casper Christian at Natrona County High School. If the Rams win that game, they have an opportunity to qualify for the 6-man playoffs. A log jam in the standings with Dubois, Casper Christian and Farson-Eden may see a tie-breaker executed based on the outcome of a couple of 6-man games Saturday. Shoshoni will represent County 10 in 1A 9-man football’s post-season. The Wranglers finished as the 4th seed from the 9-man west. They’ll have to face the east’s top seed on the road, Pine Bluffs. That game has been set for Friday, October 31st at 2:00 p.m.
In class 3A, both Riverton and Lander will host first-round playoff games. The Wolverines won the 3A East going unbeaten in conference play. They’ll open with the west’s #4 seed, Green River, at home Friday at 6:00 p.m.
Lander’s only conference blemish was to their cross-county rivals. They finish as the east’s second seed. The Tigers know the Jackson Broncs are their first-round opponent. As of Saturday morning, there has not been a game date/time set. As soon as we have that for you, we’ll pass it along!
