(Worland, WY) – The Lander Valley High School boys golf team delivered a strong performance at the Worland Invite, finishing 2nd overall out of 10 teams in a deep field of 56 individual players.
Leading the charge was William Oland, who posted rounds of 77–81 to secure a 6th-place finish. Close behind, Josh Lozier carded back-to-back rounds of 81–81 to take 8th, while Isaiah Webb shot 84–79 to claim 9th place. The trio gave the Tigers three golfers inside the Top 10.
Adding depth to the lineup, Brenner Colman (80–86), Grady Eagle (84–83), and Tayten Jacks (87–89) all turned in consistent performances to round out the team score.
Head Coach Mike Watson praised the team’s balanced effort:
“Having three players in the Top 10 really shows the depth and competitiveness of this group. Everyone contributed, and taking 2nd against 10 full teams is a big confidence boost as we move forward.”
With both strong individual showings and solid depth, the Tigers proved they are a contender heading into the heart of the season.
Lander golfers head to Buffalo for a two-day event September 4th and 5th.
