(Riverton, Wyo.) – Last month the Fremont County School District #25 Board awarded a contract to Hellas Construction for the rebuild of the Wolverine Stadium track and field area and for resurfacing of the football field with a new turf surface.
Superintendent Terry Snyder said the district had been putting funding aside since the original turf field was installed to replace it down the road. He said the time had now come to replace the field turf and the track.
Workers this week began placing the new turf surface on the field after discovering they did not need to replace the subsurface foundation material.
The remodel of the stadium will be completed by the start of the high school sports season this coming fall.
