Fremont County Sheriff’s and the Wyoming Highway Patrol both responded to multiple calls Monday morning about a vehicle driving recklessly, and a male passenger in the vehicle that was seen assaulting a female passenger.
Around 9:00 a.m. both agencies began getting calls from concerned motorists and bystanders with word that their red Pontiac was headed toward Hudson.
Per scanner traffic, the vehicle stopped at a Hudson business parking lot where the assault continued outside of the vehicle.
Multiple law enforcement vehicles arrived on the scene. Fremont County Sheriff’s arrested 20-year-old Josiah Bell of St. Stephens for assault, underage consumption, and a Fremont County warrant. Wyoming Highway Patrol arrested Kobe Engavo for driving under the influence.
Additional details and an injury update on the female passenger were not immediately available. EMS was paged to treat the victim of the abuse.
