Two public hearings on Dubois Town Council agenda for Wednesday meeting

(Dubois, WY) – The Dubois Town Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, in the Council Chambers at Dubois Town Hall, 712 Meckem Street.

The agenda begins with two public hearings: one for a new bar and grill liquor license and liquor license renewals, and another for the Little Lambs Child Care facility, which is relocating to 109 Welty Street.

The council will also discuss draft resolutions for utility rates and hear progress reports from recipients of half percent sales tax revenues for economic development. 

Under action items, the council will consider approving the 2025-2026 Wind River Visitors Council budget plan.

The council will also consider approving a $39,250 change order for a water restriction project and authorizing payment for the project to Avail Valley Construction in the amount of $339,607, pending a release from Sunbelt Rentals.

There are three resolutions on the agenda, including:

• a resolution regulating the promulgated use of public display of fireworks in town
• a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign a grant application for federal assistance through the Federal Aviation Administration and a request for state airport aid for the purpose of conducting an airport master plan study
• a resolution authorizing open containers on July 4 from 10 a.m. to midnight

Other items on the agenda include:

• a request from the Dubois Chamber of Commerce to close East Ramshorn Street between 202 East Ramshorn and 1 South First Street from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on July 3 for an outside street dance
• a special use permit for Little Lambs Childcare Center at 109 Welty Street
• a new bar and grill license for Tracie Hess doing business as Noon Rock Pizza
• liquor license renewals 
• a request for FAA concurrence to award the airport master plan and airport layout plan update to KLJ Engineering
• a $334,380 agreement for professional services with KLJ Engineering for completing an airport master plan and airport layout plan update, pending concurrence from the FAA
• appoint Brent Rogers to the Dubois Airport Board
• a temporary catering permit for Rustic Pine Tavern for a memorial
• a malt beverage and open container permit for the Pack Horse Races in June
• a $5,000 agreement with Hermann Global for annual marketing
• Tourism Asset Development grant applications from the Dubois Chamber of Commerce and St. Thomas Episcopal Church
• accounts payable
• TAD funds payables

An executive session will be held before adjournment.
