The unofficial primary election results are provided by the Fremont County Clerks Website:
The Republican candidate for U.S. Senate has been elected to Cynthia Lummis with 4,779 votes making up 61.87% of the Fremont County vote. Nine other candidates ran for the position and the closest to Lummis was Robert Short with 1,080 votes accounting for 13.98%. Micheal Kemler of Lander has 98 votes.
While the Democratic party has elected Merac Ben David with 831 votes in Fremont County totaling at about 42.62% of the votes. Yana Ludwig came in second with 424 votes, accounting for 21.74%.
The General Election is November 3rd.
“The Primary Election will be certified on Thursday, August 20th, 2020, at 1:00 pm in the County Commissioners’ Chambers at the Fremont County Courthouse in Lander. The public is invited to attend.”
