***UPDATE: US 20 / WY 789 has reopened to all traffic early Thursday morning***
(Moneta, WY) – The Wyoming Department of Transportation announced at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday night that US 20 / WY 789 between Waltman and Moneta was closed due to flooding.
The closure follows a series of storms that produced heavy rainfall and some hail in the area. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued for parts of Fremont and Natrona County Wednesday evening as well.
As of 9:50 p.m. WYDOT did not have a projected estimate on a reopening time for the stretch of highway.
