(Fremont County, WY) – With just three weeks remaining until regional volleyball tournaments open around the state on November 1st, Fremont County schools are playing their final regular season conference schedules.
In Class 1-A Dubois is currently third in the Northwest with an 11-7-2 overall record. The Lady Rams trail Burlington and Riverside. St. Stephen’s remains winless on the season.
Ft. Washakie fields a varsity team for the first time this season in the 1-A Southwest and the Lady Eagles have just a single win on the season.
In Class 2-A Shoshoni is currently in fourth place in the Northwest with a 7-14-1 overall record. The Lady Chiefs of Wyoming Indian are 4-16 overall and third in the Southwest 2-A. Wind River is still looking for their first win of the season with an 0-18-1 mark.
Class 3-A volleyball is dominated by Douglas, Wheatland and Cody this season, but the Lander Lady Tigers are in the mix in the Southwest 3-A with an 8-10 overall mark and a 1-2 conference record with a win over Mountain View. Lander competes at Pinedale this weekend at the 3-A West Conference Duals. The Lady Tigers open with #4 Powell at 3 pm on Friday then play Lovell at 6 pm. On Saturday they Worland at noon then finish the weekend against second-ranked Cody at 3 pm.
Riverton has a solid season going, sitting second in their 4-A West sub-district behind Evanston. The Lady Wolverines are 13-9 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.
Riverton hosts Evanston at 5 pm on Friday.
