Since 2012, the Fix Our Roads initiative has critically enhanced Fremont County’s infrastructure.
The one-cent tax to Fix Our Roads is dedicated to roads, bridges, and underground infrastructure that impacts road health. Cuts in funding continue to decimate state and county budgets. Assistance is no longer coming from outside sources so we must help ourselves. If this ballot initiative is not renewed in the November election, our roads will suffer.
Much of the county’s infrastructure is in line for repair, rehabilitation, and rebuilding. Keeping this tax is the only way to maintain our critical infrastructure:
- Nearly 180 miles of Fremont County gravel roads have been re-graveled since the Fix Our Roads initiative began.
- Since 2014, $12.5 Million has been spent on resurfacing, chip sealing, and other projects in Riverton.
- Since 2012, $8.4 Million has been spent on street rehabilitation and other projects in Lander.
- Since 2013, $216,169 has been spent on street repairs and other projects in Dubois.
- From 2016-2020, $435,000 was spent on rehabilitating roads in Hudson.
Vote YES in November on the Optional One-Cent Tax, and continue to help Fix Our Roads.
