(Kearney, NE) – Country star Ian Munsick recently paid his respects on stage to heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne.
The Black Sabbath co-founder, legendary vocalist and reality TV star passed away July 22nd at his home in Jordans, United Kingdom. Osbourne’s health had been declining after a diagnosis with Parkinson’s Disease was revealed in 2020. Ozzy and Black Sabbath both were honored by several in the heavy metal community by playing their final shows on July 5th in Birmingham, England.
Munsick, the Sheridan, Wyoming born country singer played a show in Kearney, Nebraska on July 26th and decided to cross-genres paying tribute to the rocker with a cover of Ozzy’s ‘No More Tears.’
“I grew up listening to him,” Munsick announced to the crowd. “We’re gonna pay tribute to one of the absolute rock legends of the universe.”
Ian’s tour continues through 2025 with many stops in bordering states including, Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana and Utah. He’ll return to the Cowboy State December 11th playing Jackson’s Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.
