(Riverton, WY) – There are many great rivalries in Wyoming high school sports, and arguably one of the best is right here in Fremont County.
It dates back to 1922. They’ve played 127 times, once for a state championship. Wyoming-Football.com reports that Riverton leads the overall series 64-56-7.
Friday night, 2-3 Lander travels to 3-2 Riverton for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff. Our broadcast coverage includes a special one hour-long Porter’s Tailgate Show beginning at 5:30 p.m. Both head coaches, the Mayors from both communities and sports reporters from our County 10 staff will preview the rivalry game.
Radio coverage can be heard on both 105.1 JACK FM, and KOVE 1330 AM / 107.7 FM with a dual broadcast featuring both Scott Fuller and Jerrad Anderson.
