(Laramie, WY) – “We’re going to be a calloused football team,” Wyoming Head football Coach Jay Sawvel said. “We’re going to hit more than we’ve ever hit around here.”
After Wyoming concluded their third practice of spring camp, Sawvel met with the media and gave some no-nonsense remarks, telling reporters that he wants his team, “violent.”
“That vibe has been created by everybody that walks through a door in this building every day,” Sawvel said. “We remind them on the constant of certain things. Our trophy case that the boot is in sits in our weight room. So, they see that every day. They get reminded of certain things every day. There’s a bad taste everybody has to own, including the new people. They have to buy into that.”
Wyoming has 15 spring camp practices before their April 26 brown & gold game in Laramie.
