(Cheyenne, WY) – The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) reports the state’s four-year on-time high school graduation rate climbed to 83.1% in 2024-25, up 1.5 percentage points from 2023-24. According to WDE, 6,385 students graduated in 2024-25, with 7,683 students included in the four-year cohort – the largest cohort since the federal cohort rate began in 2009-10.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Megan Degenfelder credited the statewide increase to a return to pre-pandemic levels and what she described as a continued focus on students, local control, and parental rights.
Fremont County: District-by-district graduation rates (4-year, on-time)

Combined Fremont County total (all districts listed above): 411 graduates out of 533 expected – about 77.1% overall. (Note: this is a simple combined total across Fremont County districts’ cohort counts, not a separate “county” rate published by WDE)
WDE noted standouts across the state, including:
- Cody High School increased its graduation rate by 7.1 points, from 85.1% to 92.2%.
- Lincoln County School District #2 rose 5.1 points, from 85.7% to 90.8%.
