(Lander, WY) – Due to gusty winds last night, the City of Lander’s weekly mosquito spraying program has been rescheduled to Thursday evening (June 26) at dusk. Weekly mosquito spraying typically occurs on Wednesday evenings, but weather conditions such as storms or high winds, or mechanical issues may require rescheduling.
The City of Lander Weed & Pest Department will initially focus on spraying the perimeter of city limits. Spraying in additional areas within Lander will take place if mosquito collection and testing indicate a need. Please note, the fogger is very quiet, so you may not hear it as in previous years. 
Residents can submit a “No Spray Request” form, available on the City’s website, or at City Hall, located at 240 Lincoln Street. Completed forms should be returned to City Hall. These requests will be honored unless Fremont County determines that West Nile virus poses a significant public health threat. Please note that requests are valid for the current year and must be renewed annually.
