Western Heritage Christian Academy, formerly Western Heritage Lutheran Academy, is excited to begin another year of Christ-centered, creation-based education — and we’re still accepting students for the 2026-27 school year!
This year’s dedicated teaching team includes Brandi Maxson, Head Teacher, returning for her third year at WHCA. She will teach across both middle school and high school, bringing energy, passion, and a commitment to student success. Brandi has been teaching for 12 years, with a masters in curriculum and development.
It will be her first year at WHCA, but Autumn Roberts has 3 years of classroom teaching experience with a bachelors in family counseling and Biblical Studies. She is an ordained pastor in the church of the Nazarene and has been a youth pastor for many years.
“I’m excited for the upcoming school year,” said Ms. Roberts. “I grew up in Wyoming and love to be in the great outdoors!”
The academy curriculum for high school students in the 2026/27 school year is as follows:
European History
European & British Literature
Math: Algebra I, 10th – Geometry, 11th – Algebra II, 12th – CWC Math Choice.
Physical Science
Rhetoric: Fall Semester
Religion: Spring Semester
Physical Education
Foreign Language: 9th & 10th Grade
Elective
Electives are the teacher’s choice each year; elective options include: Music Theory, Choir,
Drama, Art, Botany, and Cooking/Home Economics (Cooking & Home Ec. do not count towards Fine & Performing Arts, but would count towards Career & Technical training for Hathaway). A full curriculum rotation list is available at WHCA’s website.
