The Dubois Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the annual side-by-side poker run in Dubois is on again! Get your fun machines ready for a trip around Dubois this Independence Day.
Stop by Double Bar J Ranch (3609 US-26) from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3 to pick up your card ($20/card day of event, cash only). There will be maps and directions available at the registration stop if you’re unfamiliar with the area or the route for cards.
First card draw is at Green Creek Safety Shelter with Wind River Creative Studios from 10-12pm
Second card draw is at the Crooked Creek Guest Ranch and new location of Union Pass Rentals from 11-1pm
Third card draw is at Geyser Creek Connection Trail with William Brown: Allstate Insurance from 12-2pm
Fourth card draw is at Dubois Honda ATV from 1-3pm
Fifth card draw is at VFW Post 10056 from 2-4pm
The party ends at Antelope Hills Golf Course (76 Fir Road) with card trading from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. If you accidentally missed a stop on the route and don’t have all 5 cards drawn, you may draw your missing card at the final stop for an additional $20. (This will also be added to the biggest LOSER pot!) Winners will be announced at 5:30 p.m.

Spend July 3rd at the National Museum of Military Vehicles (6419 US-26) for a one-day special event honoring American freedom and featuring military vehicle rides, tank and machine gun demonstrations, museum exhibits, a Korean War program, and an evening dinner.

Join the 33rd Birthday Celebration of the National Bighorn Sheep Center (10 Bighorn Lane) from 4 to 7 p.m. on July 3rd for a free picnic dinner, desserts and raffle prizes!

FRIDAY NIGHT RODEO
The Dubois Friday Night Rodeo is a real west, family-friendly rodeo that takes place every Friday night in Dubois at the Clarence Allison Memorial Arena (5639 Hwy. 26) at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the classic racing and roping events, the Dubois Friday Night Rodeo features mini bull riding, mutton bustin’ and a kids’ calf scramble.
Admission is cash-only at the gate. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 6–12, and free for ages 5 and under.
4th of July: A 250th Birthday Celebration!
DUBOIS TOWN PARK
Start bright and early at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast, hosted by Bailly’s Plumbing & Heating and Sell Now Property Services.
Then the activities start at 10:30 a.m., with Kids Games courtesy of the Dubois Kiwanis Club. Then at Noon, join the Coin Dig, hosted by Peak Excavation.
DUCK RACES
Starting at 10 a.m. , Horse Creek will be filled with rubber ducks for Duck Races benefiting the National Wild Turkey Federation. Ducks are available $10 for adults and $5 for kids 15 and under.
PARADE
The pre-parade games are being hosted by Mountain Grace Baptist Church (27 Gilliland Ave) and they start at 1:30 p.m. Then at 2 p.m. sharp, the much-anticipated Dubois Town 4th of July Parade rolls into action!
Grab your flags and find a spot along the parade route, which starts at the Town Park and proceeds east on Ramshorn Street.
Please note that US-26 / Highway 287 is closed for the parade and it’s the only route through town for travelers. U.S. Highway 26 will be closed on July 4th from approximately 1:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Through-traffic should plan for delays in getting through Dubois.
Great news for those who can’t make it to Dubois for the July 4th Parade: County 10 will once again be live-streaming the parade, allowing friends and family from near and far to join in the celebration.
ICE CREAM & FIREWORKS
After the parade, cool down and enjoy a delightful Ice Cream Social from 3 to 5 p.m., graciously hosted by St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
As dusk settles, prepare to be dazzled by a breathtaking fireworks display that will illuminate the night sky! Then the Dubois Chamber of Commerce will host a Street Dance from 7 – 10 p.m. at the corner of Ramshorn and 1st Street.
