As a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Lander Cycling Club brings its mission of “Sharing the Joy of Cycling” to life every summer. Whether you ride mountain singletrack or long gravel roads, these two annual events raise funds to support local trails, youth programs, and community rides.
August 13–16: Jurassic Classic Mountain Bike Festival
- The Vibe: Lander’s ridiculously fun mountain bike gathering and annual fundraiser.
- The Terrain: High-desert red dirt at Johnny Behind the Rocks (JBR) and the CWC Alpine Science Institute “Trail Lab,” stretching all the way to alpine singletrack in the Wind River Range.
- On the Trail: Continuous shuttles, group rides, skills clinics, Strider races, the classic Huffy Toss, and a new Whip-Off competition on Cottonwood.
- Off the Trail: A Shadowgrass concert in City Park, the Freehub PRESENTS film festival at Pushroot Brewery, Sunday “Dirt Church” trail building, and a massive raffle featuring top-tier gear.
- Registration: $90 Adult Pass (directly supports LCC).
September 12: WYO-131 Gravel Grinder & Biketoberfest
- The Vibe: The ultimate gravel challenge paired with an all-day community park party.
- The Distances: Choose your course—131 miles (full send), 75 miles, 45 miles, or the 13-mile party ride. Includes a kids’ race for little rippers!
- Biketoberfest (Free): All day in Lander City Park featuring live music, local craft beer, artists, food trucks, and family activities.
- Registration: $145 Race Entry (directly supports the Lander Cycling Club).
