RIVERTON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) is coming to Fremont County on Friday, August 7, with two community conversations designed to hear directly from residents, business owners, and community leaders about Wyoming’s economy – and what WBC should be doing about it.
The visit includes a casual morning coffee chat in Riverton and a facilitated lunch conversation in Lander, both part of WBC’s statewide listening tour this summer. No slides, no pitch, just honest conversation.
The Fremont County schedule includes:
- Riverton Coffee Chat, 7–8:30 a.m., Central Wyoming College, ITECC 116
- Lander Lunch & Listen, 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m., Central Wyoming College Lander, LC 106 & 107
“These conversations aren’t about presenting a plan; they’re about listening to one,” said Patrick Edwards, WBC West Central Regional Director. “We want to hear what the economy and the future actually look like from where you are in Fremont County, and use that to shape what we do next.”

Can’t make it in person? WBC is also hosting the Team Wyoming Huddle, a statewide virtual gathering on Thursday, August 13, from noon to 1 p.m. The hour-long session brings 1,000 Wyoming voices into one space for a direct update from WBC leadership on where the state’s economy stands, with live input feeding directly into policy conversations with Wyoming’s Joint Minerals and Joint Appropriations committees on August 27 and 28.
