(Riverton, WY) – The annual Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives walk will once again raise awareness for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons cause, while also honoring those who have been lost, on Sunday, May 3, in Riverton.
The walk is scheduled to take place from 12 to 3 PM, and begins at the old high school parking lot (900 E Park Ave.) The walking route will then proceed to the City Park amphitheater, where speakers will address attendees.
This year’s walk theme is “In Honor. In Memory. In Action.”
“Every step we take is for those who are missing, for the families still searching for answers, and for the voices that must never be forgotten,” organizers shared on the MMIR 307 Facebook page. “This walk is more than a march—it is a call for justice, awareness, healing, and unity. We walk for our loved ones. We walk for our communities. We walk together. All are welcome. Bring your families, your prayers, your songs, and your strength as we stand together in remembrance and action.”
