(Riverton, WY) – Communal Pancake Performing Arts is bringing back The Holiday Spectacular, a festive variety show that has become a cherished tradition for both the company and the community. Filled with music, comedy, and a few well-placed antics, this original production celebrates the joy of gathering together during the holiday season.
Performances are December 18, 19, 20 at 7pm and 21st at 2pm at Heritage Hall at the Riverton Fairgrounds. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students/seniors and can be purchased here.
Drawing inspiration from classic holiday specials from The Carpenters, Andy Williams, and Judy Garland, The Holiday Spectacular features an ensemble of local performers – including Cameron Fehring, Amara Fehring, Lily Draper, Ari Kamil, Coulter Neale, Matt Hartman, Marta Maulick, and many others – bringing audiences an evening filled with warmth, humor, and a dash of nostalgic charm.
“The idea came to me when I was ramping up my own holiday spirit in 2018,” said Cameron Fehring, Technical Director and Producer for Communal Pancake. “I am a bona fide, life-long lover of the Holiday Season, and I wanted us to create a holiday show that captures that pure delight and excitement of the holidays; something worth gathering for, even as adults.”
At its core, The Holiday Spectacular is about joy, warmth, and gathering together, and the team felt nothing captured that spirit more than the classic holiday TV specials.
“The Holiday Spectacular is our love letter to the holiday specials of the ’60s and ’70s, complete with local talent, vintage-inspired fashion and décor, original musical arrangements, and a healthy dose of schticky humor. We’ve loved creating this show and we hope the audiences enjoy it as much as we do!” Fehring said.
